In collaboration of CO-CARBON and Think Corner there will be a workshop next to an exhibition during Helsinki Night of the Arts. In the workshop, participants can explore through drawing how tree crowns fit together as they grow towards the sky. The theme of the workshop ties closely to the Lungs of the City exhibition currently on display at Think Corner. The exhibition showcases the city’s carbon cycle based on research of the CO-CARBON project, revealing where Helsinki breathes and how even a home gardener can influence this process.
The exhibition team will be available during the workshop. The workshop is suitable for all ages, from children to adults. The Think Corner café is also open.
Spanning over Helsinki and the metropolitan area, the Helsinki Night of the Arts is a cultural carnival for the entire city. For over 30 years, this August event has brought together hundreds of artistic happenings ranging from poetry and music to film and performance art. The program for the Night of the Arts is created in collaboration with the city’s residents; every art project, whether large or small, is warmly welcomed.
