The CO-CARBON project is coming to an end in September 2026. Over the course of six years, the project has generated a wealth of new information on the multiple benefits of carbon-smart urban green to support decision-making. This would not have been possible without seamless collaboration with various stakeholders. We extend our warmest thanks to all our project partners and the researchers involved for our shared journey in promoting urban green! Although the CO-CARBON project is ending, research and advocacy work for urban green will continue through various other projects. This project website will remain available for the time being.

- The Lungs of the City: an exhibition on the carbon cycle of urban green areas at Think Corner. There is still time to visit the exhibition showcasing the results of the CO-CARBON project at the University of Helsinki’s Think Corner. The free exhibition is on display until 16 October 2026 and can be visited during Think Corner’s opening hours.
- The Caches of urban Green: Results from the CO-CARBON project can be found across the Helsinki region. This geocaching-style treasure hunt consists of four themed routes that invite you to observe the urban greenery around us through different lenses.
